Title

Quantitative analysis of the criticality of mineral and metallic raw materials based on a system dynamics approach

Title Supplement
Presentation held at the 13th PhD Colloquium of the Student Chapter of the System Dynamics, July 22. 2012, St. Gallen, Switzerland; A Contribution to the Poster Session
Abstract
This paper describes the recently accepted proposal of a PhD project which is carried out to develop a dynamic model that can help to assess both the supply risk and the criticality of different metals for the EU industry. As opposed to previous studies on raw material criticality which were entirely based on static analysis, this work focuses on a dynamic approach of criticality assessment which is a key requirement to meet the dynamic complexity of the current raw material markets both on the supply and the demand side.
