Title

Die Rolle der Makrophagen in der Abwehr von intrazellulären Krankheitserregern in Vitro und in Vivo

Abstract
Resident and recruited macrophages (Mo) were extracted from various organs of the mouse (e. g. spleen, liver, peritoneal cavity). Early Mo-precursor cells and mature Mo were gained from bone marrow cultures. These Mo-populations are all spontaneously highly cytotoxic for promastigote Leihsmania as determind in a novel radiometric assay for Leishmania-lysis following effector-to-target association.
