An Approach to Integrate Time- and Location-Independent Cooperation in a Distributed Product Development Process

Advanced CSCW technology will have a great impact on the communication and cooperation during the design process of products. We take a closer look at three differnet phases of the product development process, introduce specialized software for time- and location-independent cooperation and make an approach for a task-specific environment which fulfils the individual communication needs of the partners involved in the process.
