Some new periodic Chebycheff subspaces

A whole new class of Chebycheff spaces is introduced. The construction starts with a Chebycheff space on the interval [0, 2?] and yields a periodic Chebycheff space. By a modification of the construction, derivatives can also be made continuous. Practical and theoretical applications are discussed.
