Title
A vocoder scheme for very low bit rates (quality evaluation)
Abstract
A cascade of variable length uniform tube sections is used as basic model for a vocoder principle with typically 4-5 tube sections. The quality of vocoded speech has been investigated by subjective evaluation, by computation of spectral distances and resonance locations.
