A reference model for GKS-9X

The definition of the new standards should be done in a well defined way. A formal description technique for such a description is the method of data structure machines. Data structure machine describes the behaviour of processes with which graphics functionalities can be defined. The review cycle of GKS has brought up a lot of new ideas and concepts. One of those concepts is the group concept. Here an object oriented modelling on top of the GKS segments is defined. The group concept is now described with the concepts of the data structure machines.
