Robust beamforming in application to smart antennas for TD-SCDMA communications

In the TD-SCDMA scheme (which ahs been developed in China as the main standard for the future 3G communication systems), the used of smart antennas is considered as one of the key components (1). In this paper, we discuss several robust adaptive beamforming algorithms for the TD-SCDMA uplink mode which reduce the sensitivity of conventional adaptive beamforming approaches to several frequently occuring types of signal spatial signature mismatches.
