Towards a new European ICT standardisation policy - Current status and a glimpse into the future

The European Commission has launched an initiative to re-formulate their ICT standardisation policy. This paper discusses the developments in the field of ICT standardisation policy in Europe. It takes a closer look t some of the most important outcomes so far, including the recently published White Paper, the comments on it, and the resulting Communication from the Commission. It also makes some briefly suggestions on how to proceed.
