Moderne Wege der Entwicklung elektronischer Baugruppen am Beispiel der EAF-Steuerung.

The rapid technological progress on VLSI ICs in response to increasingly complex requirements makes the development of electronic modules more and more expensive. To counter these trends new approaches have to be found, namely, bus interface structures, microprocessors, PROMs and, in the case of individual timecritical tasks, bipolar array logic. Among other things this is leading to a new design strategy, distinguished by the application of CAD. These aspects are taken into account during the development of the hardware components of the I/O Colour Screen System (EAF). (IITB)
