Novel N-phosphorylated iminophosphoranes based on 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide

Abstract
A series of 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide-based N-phosphorylated iminophosphoraneswas synthesized utilizing Atherton-Todd and subsequently Staudinger reactions. The structures of these iminophosphoranes were revealed by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and X-raycrystallography. The decomposition properties were determined by thermogravimetric analysis and indicate a relationship between the chemical environment around the phosphorus atom and the thermostability of the corresponding compound.
