Two-stage ultrabroadband driver for optical modulators

A modulator driver has been developed for use in 4OGbit/s optical transmission systems. It is a two-stage device with distributed amplifiers in the stages, which is monolithically integrated on a single chip with a high gain of 20dB, high output voltage swing of 5V and ultraboadband operation with a bandwidth of 46 GHz.
