Werkzeugbeschichtungen für die Kalt- und Warmumformung von Aluminium- und Magnesiumlegierungen

Anhaftungen des umzuformenden Werkstoffes auf der Werkzeugoberfläche sind ein Hauptproblem bei der Umformung von Aluminium und Magnesiumlegierungen. Geeignete Werkzeugbeschichtungen können Anhaftungen verhindern. In Abhängigkeit von der Umformtemperatur haben sich kohlenstoff- und borbasierte Schichten sowie CrVN-Schichten bewährt. Anwendungsbeispiele und Einsatzgrenzen der Schichten werden vorgestellt.

The adhesion of the workpiece material on the tool surface is one of the main problems in the forming of aluminium and magnesium alloys. Appropriate tool coatings can prevent the sticking of the workpiece material. In dependency on the forming temperature carbon and boron based coatings as well as CrVN coatings were used successfully. Examples of use and the limitations of the coatings will be presented.
