Development of a Reference Architecture for an Integrated Digital Process Chain Entwicklung einer Referenzarchitektur für eine durchgängige Digitale Prozesskette

Digitalization and shortened model cycles in automotive production require flexible and automated adaptation of manufacturing processes. This article presents a reference architecture for an integrated digital process chain that ensures the seamless flow of information on manufacturing parameters from vehicle development to the production machine. Cross-manufacturer interoperability is taken into account, as well as the integration state of the art and standardized technologies. The digital process chain comprises components for data acquisition, processing and communication and is being developed as part of the “Werk 4.0” project at a representative OEM in the automotive industry.
