Title

Evaluation of Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) for detecting release agent coverage on high pressure die casting dies

Abstract
High pressure die casting (HPDC) is an important manufacturing process used in industries such as automotive and aerospace to create complex metal components. To ensure quality, it is necessary to achieve uniform coverage of release agents on die surfaces. This study aims to investigate the feasibility of using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) to detect release agents on HPDC die surfaces and understand its effect on different types of steel.
