In this era, technology is progressing at a blinding pace and automobiles are strongly involved in this evolution. Software is steadily becoming an integral factor in the automotive domain, seeing as modern vehicles heavily rely on software and electronics to control much of their complex functionality. Over the last years, ecology has also become a very important topic in our society. The dangers to our environment by various ecological factors pose a very serious threat regarding the future of our planet. Therefore, the influence of software on the numerous ecological factors of the automotive domain will be analyzed in this thesis.
