Abstract
Diode lasers (DL) are widely used in a variety of different fields due to a long life time of up to 300,000 hours, a high electro-optical efficiency of up to 70 %, a broad wavelength range - highest powers are available around 450 nm and from approximately 790 nm to 1060 nm - and a comparable low price.
