Engineering model linking and ontology linking for production

Manufacturers have to face challenges to structure and use the data of manufacturing units. Sensory data is currently focus of specifications, but using the data requires also structural knowledge from the machine that is created during manufacturing but maintained during operational phase. We present the engineering model linking used to support designers and programmers during engineering. Current challenges require to rethink this approach, thus we also present an ontology linking as work in progress to maintain multiple needs and views.
