Hybrid reasoning for monitoring and assistance in ambient assisted living systems

Abstract
Ambient Assisted Living Systems are expected to support people with special needs in their daily routine by continuously monitoring and assisting them. They also improve the autonomy of elderly. In the BelAmI project, we have developed our Monitoring and Assistance component MonA, which includes a hybrid reasoner able to adapt planned and running treatments according to the current situation and context. MonA and its reasoner have demonstrated its feasibility in the project's ambient assisted living lab.
