Abstract
The three-dimensional instationary interaction of a plane step shock pulse with a rectangular solid of dimensions of 2star2star4 m being 80 cm above ground is numerically investigated with the SHARC-code. The shock Mach number is 1.363, the pressure ratio is p21=2.0 and the Mach number behind the shock is u2/a2=0.473. In various planes, also containing the body's surfaces, the development of the instationary pressure distribution is analysed. Interest is focused on three-dimensional effects. The computation is inspired by experiments at the German test facility Reiteralpe.
