Title

Nitration and halogen-activation in seaspray droplets in the presence of Ozone, DMS and absence and presence of NOx

Title Supplement
A contribution to CMD-APP
Abstract
The activation of halogens from delinquescent sea-spray aerosols in the presence of ozone and in the presence and absence of NOx is studied in photochemical chamber experiments on various radical tracers, such as hydrocarbons, ozone, dimethyl sulphide (DMS) and SO2. The influence of Br-, I and SO4[2-] in the aqueous phase and gas-phase photochemistry, releasing atomic Cl, Br, ClO and BrO on the oxidation of SO2 and DMS, are investigated in detail.
