Beschichtungen zur Verminderung der Umweltbelastung bei Umformprozessen

Abstract
Coatings with anti-galling properties for forming tools are an interesting possibility, to reduce costs resulting from high consumption of lubricating agents and necessary washing procedures. In this project various carbon-based coatings were prepared, their mechanical and tribological properties were measured and their usefulness for various forming processes was evaluated in application specific and field tests. From these tests conditions were determined for their successful application and future coating developments.
