Title

Algorithm for reconstructing lost samples from oversampled signals

Abstract
A bandlimited signal sampled at a rate higher than the Nyquist rate can be reconstructed from its samples even when a finite number of samples is lost. This paper gives a solution to this problem which partially originates from Marks (1991). The solution described here is given in a parallel and a sequential (iterative) form. The parallel implementation requires the solution of a single system of linear equations. Some investigation into the numerical properties of this system is done and a numerical example is given.
