Title

High frequency locking at 18 GHz in a self pulsating DFB laser

Abstract
Locking of self-pulsation to injected 18 GHz optical signals is reported for two-section DFB lasers. Details on RF linewidth and locking range are given and the suitability of the device for all-optical clock recovery is demonstrated.
