Title

Sustainable Blue Economy: Transformation, Value and the Potential of Marine Ecosystems

Abstract
Protecting the ocean and building a diverse, resilient, and environmentally sustainable marine economy are the focus of the Sustainable Blue Economy. The FERI Cognitive Finance Institute, together with the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and the FRAUNHOFER Centre for Sustainable Ocean Business, have summarized the most important strategies for a sustainable economic use of the world's ocean. The purpose of this study is to consider the interdependencies of ecological, economic, political, and social factors. In addition, the explanations that follow are intended to highlight central ideas, drivers, and impact mechanisms behind the (financial) potential of a Sustainable Blue Economy as an answer to pressing challenges.
