IDEALS - A new environment for Courseware Development, Course Delivery and Training

The aim of the European Ideals project is to install telematics-based distance learning and training services in the market. A Modular Training System that allows efficient and effective co-authoring of courseware and flexible, personalised learning for users has been developed. Local Training Centres throughout Europe facilitate access to courses through the WWW and provide tutoring support to learners. Pilots are currently running and courses aimed at universities and small and medium enterprises will become available during the fourth quarter of 1997.
