Studies of the use of POLYNIMMO in gun propellants

PolyNIMMO (the homopolymer of 3-nitratomethyl-3-methyloxetane) was crosslinked with an isocyanate to produce a polyurethane crosslinked energetic binder for nitramine-based gun propellants. The rheol. and curing properties of urethane-crosslinked polyNIMMO were tested, and the compatibility, miscibility, viscosity, and mech. properties of combinations with various plasticizers was investigated.
