Transmission reach attainable for single-polarization and PolMux coherent star 16 QAM systems in comparison to 8 PSK and QPSK at 10 Gbaud

Abstract
The transmission reach attainable for single-polarization and polarization-multiplexed 10 Gbaud Star 16 QAM systems with coherent detection is experimentally investigated for the first time and compared to 8PSK and QPSK performance at the same symbol rate.
