Title

Compact Ultra-Broadband Terahertz Radar-Based 3D Imaging System

Abstract
We report on the integration of a photonic frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) terahertz radar with optomechanical components to build a mobile 3D imaging system. The photonic FMCW radar can operate over a very broad bandwidth of 1.65 THz, providing a range resolution below 100 μm. The objective of the optical system is an aspherical telecentric f-θ lens. The f-θ scanner is designed for a lateral scan range of ±20 mm perpendicular to the manual forward movement of the scanner unit.
