Large potentials for tissue engineering?

Large potentials, little success - the Fraunhofer-Institute for Systems and Innovation Research has performed the first analysis of the European tissue engineering industry and draws a sobering picture: to unfold the potentials of tissue engineering, scientific breakthroughs, a stronger R&D orientation towards clinical needs and a harmonised European regulatory framework are needed.
