Title

A simple method for realizing low-pass impedance transfer functions for Rossy RLC networks with unrestricted terminations

Abstract
Using as an example the synthesis of a fifth order low-pass function a design procedure is described for obtaining a prescribed function taking into account element losses. A suitable Cauer reactance function is taken as the starting point of an approximation process for the required impedance function. Realizability and convergence criteria of the synthesis are also discussed. A program for LP functions up to order 7 has been developed for use in the HP 9020 desk calculator.
