Efficient TEM(00) operation of Nd:YVO4 laser end pumped by fibre-coupled diode laser

Abstract
We have demonstrated efficient TEM00 operation of the Nd:YVO4 rod laser, one-end-pumped by a fibre-coupled diode laser. 11.6-W linearly polarized laser output with an optical efficiency of 54 per cent in a TEM00 mode has been achieved.
