8x8 GaAsP/GaP LED arrays fully integrated with 64 channel Si-driver circuits

We report on the realisation of a hybrid photonic integrated circuit (PIC) consisting of a 64 channel Si-CMOS driver circuit flip-chip bonded to an 8 x 8 array of backside surface light emitting diodes.
