Abstract
The liquid chemical pre-treatment used in titanium alloying to condition jointed surfaces prior to the glueing process has to be replaced due to environmentally technical reasons. Studies regarding the adhesive strength of titanium alloying with cold- set EP-adhesives utilizing the Saco-process (silicatization) show that highstrength values can be obtained. High-strength values, not previously available, may also be reached with climate-control storage, wet storage or a storage in a saline fog.
