The impact of life-cycle analysis tries to give an overview aout all kinds of environmental impact which is caused by producing, using and disposing products, especially packaging systems. Two problems of this concept define the boundaries of the product life-cycle and evaluate the criteria for the environmental impact. One of the most important questions in the context with ecobalances is the method for comparing different kinds of environmental impacts to come to an assessment of the total impacts of the examined product over the whole life-cycle.
