Experiment for bidirectional communication at same frequency using internally bypassed star coupler and coherent multichannel technique

The first realisation and operation of a representative part of a 72 subscriber star coupler designed for full duplex communications with doubled channel count is reported. Error free operation with coherent multichannel communications has been proved.
