Title
3D Localization of Cavitation Bubbles with a two-Array Angular Spectrum Method Implementation
Abstract
Based on the Angular Spectrum Method, a new approach for the 3D-localization of cavitation bubbles is introduced in this study. Using two orthogonal arrays, the source location can be determined not only in a very precise but also in a very fast way, compared to reconstruction algorithms like Delay, Multiply, Sum and Integrate. In a first step, the suitability of the method for cavitation monitoring could be shown with numerically obtained data, where the method revealed only small deviations from the ground truth. The experimental results were in overall good agreement with these findings.
