Title
Bewertung der Restlebensdauer kritischer Komponenten von Bestandskraftwerken bei flexibler Fahrweise
Abstract
In service power plants mostly are designed for base load operation, but nowadays are commonly subjected to several daily load cycles in order to compensate the fluctuating output from renewable energy sources. To ensure continued safe operation reliable assessments of current lifetime consumption and thus remaining lifetime of critical components are necessary. The present paper compares results of a lifetime consumption assessment of a Yshaped component installed in RWE power plant Lingen since 1974 using different standards and advanced constitutive models embedded in finite element simulations. The analytical and numerical results are compared to results from non-destructive testing of the component. Furthermore, the effect of an even more flexible future operation on the component lifetime is studied.
