Additive Manufacturing in Orthotics and Ambient Living Assistant Systems

Additive technologies offer great design flexibility, and they can be applied to different powders for the manufacture of various orthopaedics and assistant systems devices. The technology offers a high dimensional accuracy and reproducibility and the advantage of a great flexibility for complex designs that could not be realised with conventional manufacturing techniques. Different test cases and some future concepts will be presented during the presentation.
