Title
Classification experiments for the investigation of bistatic radar on base of turntable measurements
Abstract
NCTI (Non-Cooperative Target Identification) in a monostatic radar configuration has been investigated extensively within the past years but classification in a bi-/ multistatic configuration does not seem to have obtained much attention to date. To have a good data basis to work on this problem we conducted bistatic turntable measurements of five distinct ground targets at Fraunhofer FHR. The bistatic data gained from these measurements are the input to four different classification procedures, which we have only trained with monostatic data. Furthermore we discuss the problem of the definition of the bistatic aspect angle of a target and present possible solutions.
