Survey about facial image quality

The project "Two Dimensional Facial Image Quality (2DFIQ)" is the initiative of Fraunhofer IGD Darmstadt to propose a model to measure the quality of digital passport photos based on the specifications of the international standards ICAO/MRTD and ISO 19794-5. In the analysis and design phase of the project, some problems to assign a precedence and relevance of attributes occurred. Since these international standards play an important role in the maturation process of security assurance in some countries, a survey to ask the experts from Germany and other countries about their opinion and perception of quality, facial image quality, perception and use of both standards was done in two phases: On-site and On-line. This report contains the statistical results obtained after the survey application.
