Implantate mit intramobilen Einsätzen als Brückenpfeiler. Ein Vergleich der im Knochen erzeugten Spannungsverteilungen

Finite Element calculations were performed for a dental implant connected by a bridge with a natural tooth. Considerung different implant-constructions - a solid implant and two types with different flexible inserts - the stresses in the bone were calculated and compared. For the solid implant the results show that vertical loads on the bridge outside the implant axis as well as horizontal loads generate high stress concentrations in the cortical bone. These high stresses can be reduced by an implant with a homogeneous soft interlayer. Moreover, an additional improvement can be achieved with an insert which introduces the applied horizontal forces in the lower region of the implant.
