Title

Wideband crossed dipoles antenna for all GNSS bands using wideband AMC

Abstract
This paper presents the design of an antenna for all global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) bands. The antenna consists of wideband crossed bowtie dipoles placed on top of wideband artificial magnetic conductor (AMC). This results in a wideband, low profile, circular polarized antenna that has a thickness of 0.067 lambda at the lowest operation frequencies of the GNSS bands. The simulation results shows that the antenna has a very good impedance matching, axial ratio below 3 dB and efficiency higher than 90 % over all GNSS bands. The phase center and variation are also presented in this paper to show the stability of the antenna performance for GNSS applications.
