Thermography on machine tools

A basis for the adjustment of thermo-elastic models is the measurement of temperatures at a large number of measuring points. For this purpose, the thermography can be used. However, the determination of the emission coefficients and the measurement on large moving parts are problematic. The difficulty lies in the geometrical assignment of the measuring points to the moving assemblies and in the localization of image points. The article describes a measuring system based on combination of thermography and photogrammetry for measuring temperatures at moving assemblies. The main points of the contribution are the functional principle, structure and an exemplary application.
