Komplexität bewirtschaften - Industrie 4.0 und die Folgen: Neue Herausforderungen für sozio-technische Produktionssysteme

Aktuelle Ansätze des Komplexitätsmanagements vernachlässigen häufig den positiven Einfluss von Komplexität auf die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Unternehmen. Dieser Beitrag stellt den neuen Ansatz der ""Komplexitätsbewirtschaftung"" in soziotechnischen Systemen vor, der davon ausgeht, dass volle Kontrolle der Unternehmenskomplexität nicht mögich ist. Zu diesem Ansatz gehören neben dem Komplexitäts-Footprint auch Strategien, welche die aktive Beeinflussung der internen Komplexität ermöglichen. Mit der idealen Balance zwischen äußerer und innerer Komplexität kann die effektivste Wertschöpfung erzielt werden.

Today's complexity management approaches often neglect the positive contribution of complexity to competitiveness and profitability in the daily business. The newly developed approach asks for acceptance that full control and manageability isn't possible anymore. Instead, economically reasonable internal complexity patterns e.g. in terms of production structures, IT and production technologies, organization and processes have been developed. The assessment of the inherent product complexity, the profitability and future growth potential leads to the internal complexity level in structures, processes and organization. The cornerstones for the design of successful complexity patterns are outlined in the paper.
