Abtrennung organischer Säuren mittels Elektrodialyse
Separation of organic acids with electrodialysis
For the downstream processing in fermentation and enzymatic processes, electrodialysis can be used very efficiently. It is shown that bipolar membrane technique is a very economic way for the separation of organic acids like itaconic acid, gluconic acid, citric acid and methionine. Different parameters and process designs are demonstrated. A new module system makes it possible to involve electrodialysis in sterile processes.
