Green terminals and innovative planning instruments

This presentation, held at the ICCL 2011, starts with a short introduction to the planning environment at CML and MLS at Technical University Hamburg. This environment consists of an object library, the planning touch table, the database and in this case an evaluation cockpit to show changes in data immediately. In the following different terminal layouts are described. One state of the art-terminal with usual amounts in equipment and capacities and one with optimized processes and modern equipment. The comparison of energy consumption and emissions of both terminals are shown during the presentation in the cockpit, resulting in savings of emissions up to 15% in the "green" terminal.
