Abstract
As a contribution to sustainable automotive production, the substitution with materials with low environmental footprint in form of wood and CO2-reduced steel in car body plant construction is evaluated below. For this purpose, the Potenzials are analysed by means of a case study of an operating resource in plant engineering and the resulting conflicts of objectives are identified. This shows that material substitution is an effective method for reducing environmental impacts.
