Title
Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
Abstract
Virtual Reality (VR) became an important technology for the daily development process. One example is the use of "digital mock-ups" with teh aim to reduce the number of prototypes in order to minimise product development times in costs. A far less known technology is described by the term "Augmented Reality". As an extension of Virtual Reality, this technology integrates virtual information into a real environment. In this paper, an overview of existing solutions in both areas and the potential for future developement areas are presented.
