Title
Elastomergeneratoren zur autonomen dezentralen Stromversorgung
Other Title
Elastomer generators for an autonomous decentralised power supply
Abstract
Novel generators with dielectric elastomer films, developed by Fraunhofer ISC, generate electricity from low-energy water flow at a low flow rate and low water depth. As a noiseless, environmentally friendly and affordable alternative to conventional water-power plants they make new locations accessible and are suited for rural areas for an autonomous, decentralized power supply. The elastomer generators consist of durable materials and have a modular, scalable, and flexible setup for different locations such as small rivers and streams.
