Title

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging for evaluation of reinforced concrete structures

Abstract
NMR in One-sided Access (OSA) technique is an unique tool for non-destructive determination of moisture related properties in concrete. The chapter first reviews the historical development of OSA NMR. Then the physical background is described. Applications of OSA NMR, as the determination of moisture profiles, liquid transport coefficients and early-age hardening in concrete will be discussed. But also the limitations of this method will be outlined.
